U OK? ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal safety check-in application. This Privacy Policy explains how we
collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

Information You Provide
- Display Name: The name you choose to identify yourself in alerts
- Emergency Contact Emails: Email addresses of people you designate to receive alerts
- Custom Messages: Optional personal messages you write for your emergency contacts
Automatically Collected Information
- Check-in Timestamps: When you check in to confirm you're OK
- Push Notification Tokens: Device identifiers for sending reminders
- Anonymous User ID: A unique identifier for your account (no personal information)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Send check-in reminders to your device
- Send emergency alert emails to your designated contacts if you miss a check-in
- Display your name in the app and in alert emails
- Maintain your account and check-in history
Information Sharing
We do not sell your information. We only share information as follows:
- Emergency Contacts: Your name and custom message are shared with contacts you
designate, but only when an alert is triggered
- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage, and
SendGrid for email delivery
Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform)
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information
- Your data is retained until you delete your account
Your Rights
You may:
- Access your personal information in the Settings screen
- Update your information at any time
- Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
Children's Privacy
U OK? is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
